The Slauerhoffbrug is a fully automatic bascule bridge in the city of Leeuwarden in the Netherlands. It uses two arms to swing a section of road in and out of place within the road itself. It is also known as the “Slauerhoffbrug ‘Flying’ Drawbridge”.
Super legit photography of the Enterprise Shuttle on its New York City fly-by earlier this morning. Congrats, South Korea! You had the most plastic surgery procedures in the world in 2010.
The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reported that there are 16 plastic surgeries performed for every 1,000 people in South Korea, tops in the world. And a 2009 survey by the market research firm Trend Monitor found that one of every five women in Seoul between 19 and 49 had undergone plastic surgery.
