The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reported that there are 16 plastic surgeries performed for every 1,000 people in South Korea, tops in the world. And a 2009 survey by the market research firm Trend Monitor found that one of every five women in Seoul between 19 and 49 had undergone plastic surgery.
